Be part of something special
Betty’s Club is a welcoming meeting centre and sensory garden in Burnham Market for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their families. As a Member, you can enjoy regular activities, creative sessions, conversation, and friendship — all shaped around what matters most to you.
Our approach is simple: we do things with you, not for you.
Every activity is based on your interests and life story, helping you stay connected and confident while having fun.
What Members can expect:
- A choice of social, creative and wellbeing activities
- Supportive, dementia-trained volunteers
- Opportunities to share your story and skills
- Friendship, belonging and joy
As a Volunteer
Making a positive difference
Give your time. Grow your heart.
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Betty’s. Whether you can offer a few hours a week or a day each month, you’ll be joining a warm and purposeful community making a real difference for local families affected by dementia.
We provide full training and ongoing support through our WITH Betty’s volunteer workshops — designed to build your skills in communication, empathy and understanding.
Every activity is based on your interests and life story, helping you stay connected and confident while having fun.
Ways to get involved
- Help run activity sessions or host refreshments
- Join our “Keep in Touch” team to connect with members between sessions
- Support our garden and creative projects
- Bring your unique interests — music, art, storytelling, cooking — and share them

Turn your passion into support
From bake sales and sponsored walks to community concerts or online challenges, your efforts help us keep Betty’s doors open and our sessions running.
We can help you plan your fundraiser with simple guides and local support. Every pound raised stays in North Norfolk, helping people with dementia and their carers live well together
Ideas to get started:
- Organise a local quiz night or charity auction
- Take on a sponsored walk, cycle, or swim
- Celebrate a special occasion by fundraising in lieu of gifts
- Host a “Tea for Betty” or coffee morning
